link check...sorry

I just realized tonight that on each and every post on both Expressions & Reflections and Through Our Lense, I've been linking to my SmugMug account incorrectly. Here is the link as it should be:

food of the gods

I love the shade of green, the name of the boat and the way it's reflection shimmers in the water... I can dream, can't I? :)

baby Noah's a kicker

It started about a week ago. Shannon would feel his little feet pressing on her belly from the inside. Way too cool!!! They always say that hearing the hearbeat is what makes it real for the father, but I think that the reality of a little boy/girl is hitting with me the fact that we can feel Noah's presence. Obviously, I haven't felt the little kicker yet (being that he's not in my tummy); but I can't express how excited I am to be able to feel Noah's little feet pressing on her tummy.
We go for our gender ultrasound on May 9th. I only have to wait for another 2 weeks to see Noah again.

Adium

I've been using a Mac for 12 years now. I'm pretty familiar with most aspects of the Mac. I've also been fixing Windows boxes full-time for 2 years now. I'm pretty familiar with most aspects of Windows as well (sadly, in some cases, I'm more familiar with Windows than the Mac.)
I'm going to start listing my favorite software on a regular basis and tell you why I use it. I hope that this will be a benefit to you.
{Before I get going though...one warning; I'm really, really picky. I hate ugly programs (Internet Explorer 7 & Accordance - looking your way) and awkward programs (Picasa, Flock, Thunderbird - this list is long). I will probably list some of them because they are better than the competition, but that really isn't an excuse for an ugly or awkward user interface.}
Let's start with the Mac and Adium:

Adium
type: multiple protocal instant messaging client
cost: free

pros: All IM/Chat friends are in one convenient list
- All IM/Chat messages come up in one tabbed window
- Doesn't use much RAM
- Simple setup. All of the main chat settings are saved in the setup process
- Good looking & highly customizable UI
- Free
cons: No video chat (yet)
- Minor bugs - if the app is hidden, sometimes a new chat window doesn't pop open
rating: 95% (completely subjective)

welcome...here goes nothing

Well, about six weeks ago, I started the blog "Expressions & Reflections" for the purpose of posting the many photos that I have of God's creation. I've enjoyed how simple it is to post my photo and link it to my SmugMug account.
Many times I've made and updated my own webpage. Each time the updating lasts for about 1 or 2 months. Then each page/design has fallen into disrepair & neglect. It's not for lack of talent. It's honestly for lack of motivation that they are neglected. I don't want to have to upload my site. I don't want to have to code (although I have at times). I just wanted a place to express myself in photos and essays.
With the ease and sucess of E&R, I'm gonna give this site a shot.

btw. if you use rss, don't link to this yet. I might have this hosted on my own site. i don't know.
